3 traits of a winner (skip this if you love losing)
Being too dumb to quit.
Are you one of them?
Take a look at Michael Jordan.
He didn’t start out as a promising basketball star player.
At 5 feet 11 inches, he was deemed too short to play for the school team.
His coach even stated he lacked the skills and finesse of a real basketball player.
And on that day, he went home crying…
But did he quit?
No!
He refused to.
He began an intense training program the very next day.
And didn’t give up until he made history.
Sure… he lost close to 300 games.
Missed more than 9,000 shots in his career.
And failed to take the game-winning shot 26 times.
But that did not stop him from being the GOAT of basketball.
MJ was too dumb to quit!
The second trait is being OBSESSED.
It’s when you’re dedicated.
Having a deep interest, almost like falling in love.
All the winners I’ve noticed were absolutely obsessed with something.
And everybody at one point was obsessed in their life.
Including you!
You might be thinking, 'Well, I wasn’t…'
Wrong!
Let me explain.
You had an intense passion for something you liked.
You tried learning everything about it to the point where it consumed you.
You loved it.
But your teachers, friends, family, or even strangers…
At one point in your life, they told you that your obsession was crazy… too excessive.
It was so intense that they couldn’t understand it.
And somewhere along the way, you then felt shameful for being that way.
So you stopped.
You’ve shut down your ability to become obsessed.
Think about Michael Jordan again.
In the beginning, he wasn’t special at all.
He wasn’t considered the best college player.
It’s his love for the game that made him a legend.
Elvis Presley… is no exception.
He failed music at Humes High School.
His teacher told him he couldn't sing.
The manager of the Grand Ole Opry told him to go back to driving a truck.
If he had listened to them, he wouldn’t be the king of rock and roll.
Elvis was too dumb to quit and obsessed with his love for singing.
If you want to win and be great at something that deeply fascinates you.
Let your obsession run WILD.
(to the point where people find you crazy and weird)
The last and most important trait of a winner.
Humility.
No, I’m not talking about putting yourself down.
Or doubting yourself.
What I mean is,
To humble yourself and learn from whoever it is.
It may be someone with less experience than you.
With less success than you.
And even what they’re telling you… goes against your beliefs.
You never know what you might learn.
Avoid being too quick to judge people.
Winners are always open to learning.
The more they learn, the more they realize…
That they don’t know everything.
Jesus of Nazareth.
‘The Christ’
When he came to this earth, he told everyone he was here to bring ‘grace.’
“You don’t have to worry about the law anymore.”
But what did the Pharisees do?
They rejected him.
They did not believe in him.
They loved their laws.
And they missed out on the greatest gift.
Eternal life through Jesus.
